Professional Soft Furnishing Workshops
These one-day professional soft furnishing workshops are designed not only to instruct students in the technical and practical aspects of the craft, but also to provide a forum for like-minded people to meet, exchange ideas, and enjoy a sociable day whilst learning new skills.
All materials and equipment are provided within the workshop fee, and you will take home your finished product together with detailed notes on the techniques covered.
All necessary equipment is provided, but you are welcome to bring your own basic sewing kit if preferred (pins, needles, thimble, small scissors etc.) If you would like to use the workshop as an opportunity to become more confident with your own sewing machine, you are more than welcome to bring it with you.
All one-day workshops follow the same timetable - arrive any time from 9:00 for coffee, pastries and introduction. Tuition starts promptly at 9:30 with an introduction to the topic and theory, demonstrations and practice, followed by the project. Lunch and additional refreshments are provided throughout the day. The scheduled finish time is 5:00pm, but if you need additional time to complete your project, you are welcome to stay longer. Similarly, if you need to leave early, you can take the necessary materials to complete your project at home.
Mini Craft Workshops
Mini craft workshops are very informal, providing an opportunity to enjoy a couple of hours sewing for pleasure. These are usually held during the evening, and include a glass of wine and a few nibbles. All materials and equipment are provided.
