How to get the best from your sewing machine. Threading, application, care and maintenance. Practise straight stitch and zig-zag on straight runs, curves and corners.
Seam Library
When and where to use various seam types and seam neatening techniques. Practise plain open seam, run and fell seam and French seam.
Fabrics
Choosing and handling fabrics for various applications. Fabric composition and properties.
Project
Each student will create a beautiful, fully lined cotton drawstring bag to take home, together with a collection of samples for reference. All materials are provided and you will be able to choose from a huge selection of fabrics and trims
